PROGRAMMERS: Where do I find the file that tells how large to embed a Flash SWF?

A designer created a Flash swf file for me and when it loads on the page, it's too big. I was told that there is a code that controls the size that it embeds. Is this code part of the swf file, or contained somewhere else? Can anyone shed some light on this... I'm stumped! THANKS!!!
P.S. I can't reach the designer, so that's why I can't ask HIM! :-)
