Programing in Advance

hey all..
I have the 6141 HD receiver... and I'm wondering if it's possible to program something 2 days in advance... i'm leaving for the weekend and want to record a show on Sunday ... the guide doesn't go to SUNDAY however... so how do i go about doing that?

Turn your reciever off and leave it off for about 5 minutes. Turn if back on and it should tell you it's updating the guide.
Then it will give you the next 7-9 days of programing information.

I think you only get the extended Guide if you have the External Hard Drive attached.

If you know the channel and time of the show, just create a manual timer.
 
Doesn't everyone get the 9 day guide? I do on the 9241 and 9200.
You don't need an external HD
You can't even get 2 days???? Wow. Something is wrong.
 
You need to have a hard drive to get the 9 day guide. The 6141 does not have an internal drive, so it only gets the 2 day version. When you attached an EHD it becomes a PVR and the 9 day guide can download to the hard drive.
 
If you know the day, channel and time just create a manual timer, your only solution!
 
You should have the 9 day guide your earlier post say you have a EHD. I think if you scroll to the end of whatever guide you have it will as if you want to update. Or turn off as suggested.
