I have a 9242. I have a second tv hooked up to it using dual mode and tv2. I am actually splitting the coax out of the 9242 and running it to 2 tv's. One of the tv's works fine. The other seems to work fine for a while, then all of a sudden I get cracking, and a wavy, staticy picture that bounces vertically. Once this happens, it never goes back to normal. This seems to happen even if the tv2 tuner is turned off (with only the Bell screen visible) I have verified that it is not the coax input on the tv. I don't think it is the actual coax cable, as it seems to work ok for a while. I am really stumped here. I have my tv tuned to channel 76 for tv2. This tv that is causing me issues is near my computer, not sure if that is relevant or not. Does anyone have any ideas? This is driving me crazy!

Change the channel that Tuner #2 is using

Menu - 6- 1- 5.

See if you can find one that both TV's like.

Ok, I have been through every available channel on the "cable" settings. Some don't work at all, and others work for a while. No matter what though, after 5-30 minutes, I eventually get the bouncy, staticy picture. Does anyone know how to correct this?

What is the distance involved between the 9242 & the Remote TV.?

Have you tried the "Air" Channels.?

I think I used an "Air" Channel on a 9242 a couple of weeks ago.

I tried all the "air" channels as well with the same result. I cannot find one channel that works. As for the distance, from the 9242 to the splitter is about 30-35 feet, and from the splitter to the tv is about 20-25 feet. I am splitting to another tv that is even further away, and this tv works fine.

Well if the furthest TV is fine, it might be a case of too much signal.

Try using the small attenuator that came with the 9242 between the splitter and the TV you are struggling with.

dustinm23 ,

Sounds like interference of some kind. I had something similar and when I use a new line it was gone. Could be wire, could be something near wire, could be the end connectors.

It could even be your tuner in your TV.

Try switching the legs on the splitter (switch the good tv leg, with the bad one)
Check the connectors, looking for aluminum braid touching the center conductor
