problems with my n80

hey guys i had my n80 for like 2 months now and i started to mention problems like when someone calls me and i dont pick up the screen gets frozen and sometimes when someone calls me the caller id name(that person is on my contact list) his caller id name is cut out like if the name is Tomas it would show "omas" sometimes, why is this guys? im using the original skin of the phone btw its a black n80.

i updated to the latest FW using the built in update service in the phone, i was scared to update using the usb because last time i did it bricked my phone and i didnt want to take a chance but yea i updated using the built in updater that checks online on the phone itself and then downloads and installs it, what to do? please assist me

This happens sometimes when the phone is in sleep mode. Bug is still present in the latest IE fw.

i dont have the IE edition i have the regular black n80 edition, is there a way to turn off sleep mode?

yes you can turn it off in settings\phone i think

ok i just turned it off, i just called myself from another fone and the screen wasnt fuzzy it was all correctly working, well ill test for a day or 2 and let u all know if that fixed it. thx

The screen won't be messed up anymore but you'll find that your battery life will be cut by about 35%-40%.

Sorry, no. It's a firmware bug. Maybe if enough people complain to Nokia they'll fix it, so email Nokia I guess...

Oh I do experience the bug, same as you. I use Full Screen Caller though so it doesn't usually happen (although sometimes it still does with FSCaller). When I forget to switch FSCaller on though my screen is jumbled every time a call comes in while in sleep mode...
