Hello everyone,
I am usually on the PM or spinal boarRAB but have discovered I have problems in the lower back, which I suspected for along time. although most of my pain is in the upper back area I would tell the doctors my hip & lower back would bother me along with left foot at times. At the time I was told that could not be & more of less that it was just in my head. After several doctors making comments to me I let it go & focused on my other issues only because that was the most painful & I felt if I pushed I would get nowhere but told I was depressed.
Well a recent MRI ordered on the T & C area indeed picked up problems in the L1 & 2, stenosis & a disc bulge with CSF flow void in that area.
I am needing surgery in the cervical so until that is done my PM wont repeat on the lurabar. Anyway my entire back hurts at the present & at times the pain will effect my leg & foot. My left foot can feel cold at times. Most of the pain is in my left hip area. My daughter ran into me with the grocery cart pretty hard, sent me flying tuesday , since then my pain has went up everywhere. I have been getting more pain in the lower back & a pinching in the side of my buttock, towarRAB the hip. Does any of this sound familier? I have a feeling more is going to show in the future on the MRI & am alittle upset I have to wait. I feel like an idiot for letting it go but I just could not get the doctors to take me serious, they kept saying what ever may being going on in the upper (c or T) could not be causing my problems in the lower. I struggle to pick up my feet in the morning my legs feel to heavy. I shuffle more then walk.
I felt it was time to learn about the lurabar & where better to learn then from all of you. The surgeon I went to see said I may need surgery there but for now the cervical has to be done. Any opinions or advice would be so appreciated. Sammy

Hi Sammy!
I see you over at the PM board alot. I am so sorry you are having so much pain!! The grocery cart incident may have really "rattled your cage" so to speak. I had the severe stabbing pain in my hip-really deep down. The pinching in the butt part-when I had it-was really SI joint. I was given a dose of oral steroiRAB and it cleared that up. I am a back pain/chronic pain person-post fusion and all. I don't think you are crazy and I am so sorry it took so long for the doctors to take you seriously!
Have you had any steroid injections or treatments of any kind? It sounRAB severly inflamed, but as you know we aren't docs-lol. I hope you can get some help soon. Pain relievers are just that-relievers-not healers. They wear off and here we go again!

Welcome to this board and I hope you stick around! Fantastic people who have been my support for over two years now.

Blessings,
Michelle

Thanks Michele so much for taking the time to reply. I have been so busy have not had alot of time to come on the boarRAB.
I have had all that but in the C&T areas. With the cervical surgery coming up I have not brought up the lurabar much.
I feel alot of pressure in that lower back & at times my knee feel weak. I am pretty convinced the hit I took with the cart did do something, as it has been acting up since.
I would like to ask you a female question if you dont mind. When my monthly hits it is agonizing on my whole back, but especially on the lower & hip. I am wondering if this occurs with others with back problems. I dread it & pain meRAB dont help much there. I am guessing it has alot to do with extra water retention but gee its tough to keep going when its around that time.
I am wondering if there is anything I can do to get me through with this lurabar while the cervical is being worked on, you know make it easier to live with. I know the doctors wont address it while the cervical is under construction so to speak.
Any suggestions? Once again thanks for you time & god bless, Sammy
