Problems with flashed verizon v3c to cricket

okay a few problems, that are extremely annoying, especially after i payed freaking 79 dollars just to activate the damn thing.

1. Texting. I got unlimited texting, and i can send texts and receive them, SOMETIMES. it takes like 15-20 mins for a text to be sent, and thats pissing me off, i dunno how to fix it. haha. so if anyone could help me figure this out, that'd be great.

2. Mobile web. I bought the 45 dollar thing from cricket and it has web. but its not working, just says "Error: Cannot resolve hostname." So if someone can help me with that too, that'd be great.

yeah i've done that with *228.

but when i connect i get "Error: Cannot resolve host name." (through open-wave)

and when i try through clicks it says "Unable to retrieve catalog. Please try again later (554)

so im kind of with the guys theory on "foreign esn" because im not using a phone originally bought from them.

and jlbrightbil that would be awesome if you could find all those settings and possibly post them or pm me with ss of them.

Your Mobile Web will prob never work.
Most places just unlock the phone and MAYBE flash the PRL (if your lucky).
No one has real Cricket Software to flash so they will almost always have issues.
Whoever did your flash should have gave you a heaRAB-up that you would/could have issues like this.
What market/city are you in???
 
lol again its real cricket software 100% from a cricket v3c.

and the monster flash was from someone on this site, and to inform you i flashed the phone. thank you for the feedback and help.

and im in Vancouver, Washington. if thats what you wanted to know
 
Was this the monster flash or just the customer upgrade. That will make a HUGE difference.

Also, we have yet to see any issues like this on a flashed v3c in our area.
 
When you say a "real" Cricket software did someone copy this from a hanRABet in your region or are they using some random V3 somewhere on Cricket?
There are differences in the software from area to area.
 
does your phone origenally from cricket or verizon or alltel??
Work? you mean yes it program over the air did you try to use the web from the phone did you try to use the cricket click does it goes to where you can pick and download or you just have it in there. please help if you know something new.
 
Unless the monster came from Motorola and was decrypted (these are propriety to the service provider and there are potential legal issues with leaking them), you probably will encounter some problems. There is no way to pull a usable monster file or usable flash file from a phone that I have seen work properly (but I still do not know everything).
 
hmm, i guess that would be a valid point.

but anyway, im guessing that it is a real monster file, pulled from phone sold by cricket, because theres got to be an expert somewhere who knows how to do that, and the guy i got it from is one of the admins here.

i mean it could be from me just messing with some of the seems before hand when it was a verizon phone, because i noticed that all the seems were still edited after i had flashed it to cricket, but i didn't mess with any ones that would mess with it, just ones that were posted here on this site.

I am in no way doubting the Admin that has the file and it is possible that the issue is from your seem edits but...

if the monster file could be pulled from a working hanRABet, EVERY monster filed would have already been available, so I am confused. Again, to the best of my knowledge, it is not possible to pull usable software files from a working hanRABet.

I also cannot see how the seems edits would affect the text issue. What seem edits were done??
 
mine is originally a verizon phone, but i flashed it with a monster file to cricket.

when i activate it (*228) it works, it says activation successful, but then when i go to cricket clicks i click on get catalog and i get an error, saying it cannot download it.

soooo im lost here. :-(

and what settings are you talking about, the mms and so on, can you post ss of what you did? thank you
 
Interesting. As a service center we were told they cannot be released for legal reasons.

It that is the case, I have no idea what the answer is.
