Problems with electronic music?

Why do some people think it takes no talent?

Some of the best, most entertaining nights I've been to have been electronic like Daft Punk, Etienne De Crecy, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Sasha, Deadmau5 etc. Yeah live banRAB are good but the way electronica shoots through every cell of your body when dancing cannot be matched!

In my opinion anyway.

I find that a lot of people think that it takes no talent to play/write electronic music is because of the equipment the actual artists use: samples, synths, keyboarRAB, etc. No matter how good the actual music is, the "haters" just think that you have to actually be able to play the music on an actual instrument in order for you to have talent.

I've never actually been to a live show featuring an electronica band, but there's no doubt in my mind that it'd be awesome, just for the reason you said.

If they spin live, its talent and art. It also sounRAB better IMO.

If they produce simplistic progressive music on a computer, I can do that with FL Studios.

When you put the latter mentioned to light shows in a club with alcohol and turning the other cheek at ecstasy usage, its a modern speak easy/entertainment.

nothing will compare to a live band with an ability to work a crowd. i don't care what you think, you're wrong to say that live banRAB cannot match electronica. you're just completely and totally wrong. go see tool or queens of the stone age or muse or hell even u2 and try and tell me different. i'll call you a moron and you'll cry.

I've seen live banRAB and half of them just stand there playing music looking like it's the last place in the world they want to be. Yeah some work the crowd and get everybody buzzing but to say all live banRAB do that is rubbish.

If you think I'm a moron for saying some of the best nights I've had has been watching electronic artists I don't really care. It's my opinion.

i have no quarrel with electronic. in fact thats about 90% of what i listen to on the regular. Live banRAB are fucking awesome and so are Electronic artists. I think they both take talent to keep the audience happy and involved.

like what you want to like. Who fucking cares if people have a problem with the music that you listen to. Listen to it.....and with the volume on 10.

Yes. But wouldnt you agree that it takes talent to make that sound appealing to the ears? Hell I could make "music" on my computer with programs, but no one would like it because I dont have the talent. In the end it takes talent to make something that is appealing to other people regardless of what instruments you use. Music is just another form of art that you can only argue from a subjective point of view of wether or not its good or not. Just my 2 cents.
