Problems with Alltel AX8600 WAP and MMS

I have an Alltel LG AX8600 that I *22804'd to cricket. When I got a data cbale I was able to change the WAP/Data/MMS settings. I'm not sure about the MMS settings, but I think I have the other two right. None of it works though. When I try to get onto the internet it says '1xRTT Network Not Available'. Any Ideas?

Here are my settings:
WAP Settings:
Proxy Address Setting (both primary and 2ndary): wap.mycricket.com
Proxy Port setting (primary port and 2ndary port): 8080
Proxy Port setting (primary LXL port and 2ndary LXL port): 0443

CB Support: Off (also tried on, what is that anyways???)

(NOW THE GOOD STUFF)

Doesn't that seem like too many settings??

BREW I don't even care about right now.

DATA Settings:
MIP Setting: SIP Only
PPP ID: MDN#######@mycricket.com
PPP PW: cricket
Mode(Auto/1X): Auto (I've tried 1X too)
A12 ID: MDN#######@mycricket.com
A12 PW: cricket
The rest of settings have to do with USB/Bluetooth connectivity

Any Ideas? At this point I would be overjoyed to get the MMS working, even though my real goal is the WAP.
 
When I tried to do NV Edit through LG Download, I tried the 8600, 9900, and 8300, but everything is in the wrong spot, so I couldn't edit everything right. And certain things were unchangeable in the Service Programming menu in the phone. I ended up using QPST EFS Explorer, extracted paramtable1.fil, which had some of the settings I couldn't change within it, edited it, and overwrote it. Now in the Service Programming Menu, it looks just like what I posted settings wise.
 
maybe you will have to flash to the verizon software i just barley got mine working lol but i have accesse to chang my whole menu and everything so its going cricket :D the startup and shut down is all ready cricket :P
 
Before I risk losing the MP3 Player function by flashing it to Verizon's firmware, I'd be interested to see what amoamare can do. Was there something you did to unlock all the settings on you Service Program menu? Wondering if yours will work and if you did the same settings as I did too.
 
Right but they are the exact same phone only difference is software there running, one is verizon one is alltel. Same Hardware same everything else just software is different.
 
Do you have all those MMS settings then? It seems like more than most phones I've dealt with. Also, did Verizon kill your MP3 player when you flashed yours?
 
Don't change or alter the Brew settings in any way. If you have already done this, your music player might be hosed permanently.

And yes, amoamare is right--use your MIN (NOT MDN) nuraber for ALL user name fielRAB.
 
Thanks berryl_third. I have messed with the BREW settings, but amazingly the Alltel version of the phone doesn't kill off the MP3 player, I was very happy to discover that. And i changed my MDN's to MIN's in settings and it still says '1xRTT Network Not Available'.
