I have just been contacted by a summer camp that i attended as a councilor 2 year ago who are demanding $600.00 as i left the camp early due to a family death. They have warned me that legal action will be taken unless I pay. In their contract they had stated that if an immediate family member died then this fee would be waived. Unfortunately my grandmother died, not a parent or sibling, so this apparently doesn't count (i guess if it had been my partner the same would go).
Please advise what i should do e.g. discredit the company, speak to a legal adviser, or ultimately pay up?
Any feedback asap would be greatly appreciated!
