Problems with 1989 buick century, please help.?

I have already asked about my car but I have more detail, my car will start but then it dies in about three second, then we found out that if you hold down the brake or pump it, it will run a couple seconds longer, then we found out if you turn on the ac or heat it will run even longer but if you press the gas it dies right away. The car started doing this all of a sudden, it ran in the morning than that afternoon wouldn't keep going anymore but starts fine. please help
