I am taking the manual transmission out of my 1995 Ford F150 4x4. I have everything off except for the clutch hydraulic line. I went to the local auto parts store and got the Ford Clutch Removal Tool, but can't get it to work. There was a plastic piece that fell off where I put the tool on to remove the line - it was all busted up and cracked. Did that plastic piece need to be on there in order to remove the hydrualic line? Seems simple enough - I just can't get it to work! lol Just my luck 
And the last thing I need off to get the transmission out!! Any input would be greatly appreciated.
