problem with z500

i have followed all the tuts posted e.g

set up phone for qualcom usb
installed cmda driver
shorted pin 2 and 3
but phone modem not responding i have tried uninstalling cmda driver then plug in phone windows says new hardware found then i direct windows to the folder with cmda drivers in it and it says cant find correct drivers. What i think is the problem is i need the z500 usb drivers so that the phone is recognised by windows then install the cmda drivers but i cant find them anywhere please could someone tell me where iam going wrong and possibly give me the normal usb drivers if they are needed thanx on top of that when i go into the mobile modem setting i am getting mobile modem not cmda modem and i cant set a port setting i have been through every page clicked on every tab and the option for port settings is not there
 
latest update got all drivers installed plugged in phone and phone says usb unavailable deactivate bluetooth so i did but ns doogle still will not find phone/modem so i went into contol panel and done diagnostic on modem but phone/modem not responding .just checked in device manager and it says there are no drivers installed for the data interface so i think i need them so that the phone can communicate with the computer and thats why the modem isnt responding
