Problem with Sony Vaio Model VPCCW21FX?

just recently my sony vaio has become very slow. It lags when doing just about anything. I can barely use the internet without getting a "not responding" notification. I have done several virus scans and dont have any. I have also done spyware and malware scans and they also come back clean. I dont have a lot of programs either. Please help me. Im in college and my computer is my life line. Thanks
