when something is in parantheses like this (3)(6)=18, it just means mulitply.
(you could use a calculator- thats how we do it in 11th grade math :P )

Problem 1: it should equal 1870.546
Problem 2: it is reasonable
Problem 3: it should equal -2.226

All i did was multiply the two numbers together. If the answer on ur calculator equals what the answer on the sheet is then its reasonable. If not just write the right answer :)

Hope that helps!

I know that this is my homework, but I need someone to tell me how to do these. Please help me!

The worksheet is called Practice 3-2...Estimating Decimal Products and Quotients.

The directions for problems 1-10 are "Determine whether each product or quotient is reasonable. If it is not reasonable, find a reasonable result.".

I am just going to tell you the problems. I am in a sixth grade with 40 other kids, the teaccher isn't really able to help me. I need it though. No book, just the worksheet.

Here is one problem for each of the different types of problems.

Problem 1:
62.77(29.8) = 187.0546

Problem 2:
(47.89)(6.193) = 296.5828

Problem 3:
2.65(-0.84) = -0.2226

I am unsure how to divide decimals and I have no clue if they want me to divide, multiply, or what when it has parentheses.
