Problem with nokia 5800 and headphones

Hey, hey.

I have a problem with my nokia 5800 Xpress Music and my headphones. I used to be able to hear music AND calls with my headphones pluged in, but now I can't hear any calls with my headphones.. I can hear the sound of the person talking coming out from the cellphone itself, but not from the headphones ( still pluged in ).

How can I fix it?
 
Sounds like the headphone connector on your headset is shot. Try getting a new headset and see if that corrects the problem.
 
Hello,

I am able to hear all the songs and FM on radio over my Headphones.
But I am not able to hear the voice over any calls.

Any solution? I have Nokia 5800 and I am using the normal 3rd party headphones.

I have the 5320 and unless I have the exclusive nokia headset that includes the microphone, I cannot hear the caller.
 
I had the exact same problem. I suspect I noticed this problem after a firm-ware update.:rolleyes: Regardless - this is the fix that worked for me.:)

01. Turn off phone
02. Remove MicroSD memory card
03. Turn-on phone
04. Test headset/headphones - Hurray, it worked.:goldstar:
05. Re-insert the MicroSD memory card
06. Test headset/headphones again - Hurray, still working.:goldstar:

I restarted the phone multiple times - tested and re-tested making and receiving calls with the headset/headphones plugged in.

It is working absolutely fine now. :goldstar:
