Plasmas have a reputation of not lasting as long as a flat screen LCD. It's normal that a plasma will change into funky colors but not in one year. If I were you, I would take it back to the store and ask what the heck is going on. If you dont get satisfaction, then go talk to the supplier and ask them. I'm sure they'll get you a new one or at least fix it.
