Problem With Jot 2.1 and Note Pad on T3

I purchased CIC's Jot handwriting recognition program a couple of years ago for my IIIxe and then for my IIIc, and initially was glad to hear that Jot was being used as the basis for Graffiti 2 on Palm OS5 'cause I'd planned to purchase a T3 last fall.

Well, I bought the T3, but some of the things I'd liked about Jot were missing, namely the single-strokes for letters k, i, and t, as well as additional customization not included in G2.

When CIC recently updated Jot to version 2.1 in support of the T3, I gladly downloaded my free upgrade, but have had one really irritating problem. Whenever I use the Note Pad with Jot enabled, I can't write the free-hand text into the note. All characters are recognized as title information, even if the on-screen handwriting button is disabled. I have to manually disable Jot to be able to write free-hand. If I open the slider and use Note Pad in full 320x480 mode, Jot WILL allow me to write free-hand in what would normally be the Graffiti area.

Bizarre stuff to say the least.

Has anyone had similar issues, and/or found any workarounds short of disabling Jot every time you want to use Note Pad?

Thanks!
