Problem with invisible fish?

Hi I went to the fish fair last week to find some new fish for my aquarium and was amazed by the presentation of a new breed, called "invisible fish". The seller explained they can adapt their colour to the water and environment and I bought 10, although they were quite expensive.
The problem is that you can't see them. I poured the contents of the little tank in my aquarium, because I was told they get along with all other fish.
Now I've been spending six hours in front of the tank to see them just in the moment when they change colour to adapt to the background, e.g. in front of plants and stone caves, but I was unlucky. And they don't seem to eat anything, because I don't need any more food for all fish than before. The other fish seem to ignore them.
Do you think the new fish are alright and should I use a torch at night to find them?
