I was wiping the ignition button with a damp cloth to clean it when the ignition started to fire constantly. I pushed the button in the hope of stopping it but got an electric shock from it.
Now the ignition is firing all the time unless I switch the plug off at the mains, and I have no light or gas coming through my main oven.
Its a Canon Chichester and is about 5 years old
