i drove to the gas station, let the car run, came out and it was shaking. I drove it home and notice poor acceleration; as if i press on the gas and barely move fast. Under the hood I notice a hissing around the corner of the back valve cover where it meets the side of the power steering reservoir but underneath the PS pulley are only metal lines and none of them seem to be leaking or hissing. the pcv valve sits inside a canister with a plate over it. I didn't notice any hissing there. I noticed that the u clamp came off where the exhaust manifold attaches to the front pipe. Would the lost of the u clamp cause the pipe to come loose from the exhaust manifold and result in poor acceleration/speed and rough idling? I checked all hoses and lines and see nothing out of place other than above. I'm thinking that each time I press on the pedal the exhaust manifold blows the pipe out enough to cause terrible acceleration (like if I'm trying to go 35 but it feels as if I'm only moving at 20-25)....any suggestions? 6 cyl 3.8 lasabre
it wasn't the pipe....still poor acceleration and hissing noise in same location
