Problem with a Kicker amp.?

I have a Kicker zx400.1, when I hook it up to my car the protection light keeps flashing from green to red constantly and never stops. I tried just having the power wires in and no RCA and no speakers and it still does that. The fuses are good, not blown. The Kicker sub works perfect, I checked with a different amp. I know for sure that my wires are wired correctly through the car because I have a system hooked up that puts out 1000 RMS and it works without any problems.
What can be the cause for this? Anything I can do to fix it?
 
Sounds like a short inside the amp, When you have a short inside the amp or anything that is connected to the amp, the amp will go into protect mode and the red light will come on and you have to disconnect the power to reset it if it comes on as soon as you hook the power back up, it means you shorted the amp out and only way to fix is is by sending it to kicker or someone that does it for a living.
