hello!

i have a 99 jeep grand Cherokee limited AWD with about 120k miles,
and here is my problem, i took the truck to rebuild the transmission and as soon as i pick it up, the guy told me "o there is a noise when you make a right turn" which i didn't have before, however i did think that was the axle and after replace it, i still have the problem.
i just happen when i make a right turn, you can hear it and also feel it, (hop).

so now my friend told me that it was the transfer case, but because i currently don't have a job I'm scare of rebuild the transfer case and still have the problem.

if any of you guys had the same problem, please help me to fix it,
BTW: i try to use the 4x4 low and it seem that is not working perfect. but back on February i used it few times and it was working 100%.

please help me to make the right choice.

thank you.

the guy who replace the axle told me that he thinks is the transfer case, because he check the truck for few days before replace the axle and few days after.

Possible simply loose cross member bolts?? could be anything if it a loud enough pop you should be able to locate what is moving by close inspection looking for bolts/washers that have shiny area behind them indicating movement also check the front suspension you thought it was an axle could be a ball joint . Raise vehicle and support with jack stand at furthest point towards wheel lower onto jack stand, then using a pry bar undernieth the tire pull up on the pry bar having someone watch the ball joint for movement sounds suspension related also grab top and bottom of tire and move in and out checking for play while pushing top hand away while bottom one towards you
a pry bar to. If not sure pay a shop to diag it for you
