So I have a 99 Chevy Malibu LS. I've been trying to find out what is causing the coolant to "disappear" every time I put some in. My guess is that it's a blown head gasket, but I'm not sure since I'm a newbie with cars. I read about the symptoms such as white smoke, and liquid dripping from the exhaust pipe, and it has a rough idle. The reason why I think it's that is because I remember it overheated on me once, and I drove it a bit, causing misfires to this day.
Also, IF it is the head gasket, would a sealant be worth a shot? I'm a college student, so that pretty much says how low on money I am for an expensive repair.
