split the pills up in 2 groups of 4. whichever side weighs more, split them up in twos. whichever weighs more of the twos, take those two and you have a 50/50 chance of picking the wrong one.

the heavier side gets measured again
split the pills in two groups of two
measure again after putting them on
which ever one is the heaviest side ignore those 2
