Hello all...i have been facing problems playing MP3 files with Ptunes or Realplayer. I installed TCPMP and it is playing my MP3's ok so far...

But TCPMO offers poor lists management resources. I really would like to use Realplayer or Ptunes...

Any tips? What may be the problem?

More info needed: What device are you using, what SD card are you using (which is the biggest culprit in most cases), and are you not getting anything out of RP or PT? If that's the case - they do look for the MP3's be stored in the Palm/Audio directory on the SD Card.

Give us some more information - and then we might be able to help but there isn't enough here to go on, yet.

Hello Moose Man...I am using a Palm TX, with a SD 2GB from SandDisk. Actually i am getting sound from RP and PT. But the musics are "hanging" ...like a small skip...when i play the same file using TCPMP they play ok.

By the way, RP looks for MP3 in Palm/Audio, but PT can play from anywhere in the card.

Please...help me!

Well depending upon what speed you created the MP3's at and that combination of the card - it could be a bad card.

Some of the early 2GB SD cards from SanDisk had issues that because of the coding - TCPMP handles better than RP or PT.

Pop the card and look at the back of it and see if it will state where it was made - if it was made in Japan and you bought it more than say 2 years ago - there is a good chance it's bad. The later batches made in Taiwan or China didn't have this issue.

Otherwise - turn off WiFi while listening to music and see if that helps. The Palm OS doesn't like doing much more than one thing at a time. If you've got Bluetooth on, Wifi on and music playing - well that could be too much.
