Problem Activating Venus

I recently bought a LG VX8800 (Venus) off craigslist. I flashed it and sold it but the person who bought it is having a tough time activating it. I converted the MEID ESN to DEC and made sure thats right. Called Cricket twice to verify they have the correct ESN on hand. They do but they try and say the phone isnt compatible with Cricket but then again they wont let this guy switch back to his old phone saying that his old ESN is locked for 24hrs. I manually programmed the phone and it still wont get service. It will say the phone is not authorized for use. Tried OTA but it fails. Anyone have any ideas whats causing this or any other suggestions what to do? Thanks.

the old esn can be used right away, but indirect rep's will not be able to use it, only csr's and rsr's have access to it right away.

anyways... i've been having a lot of trouble with OTASP failing on the newer LG's (Venus, voyager, etc..) does 611 connect to cricket/does *228 at least play the cricket message before failing?
did you give cricket dec MEID or dec pESN?
when it "says the phone is not authorized for use" is that a message on the screen or from the network: if it is from the network what is the code given after the message.
make sure you are putting min for min, and mdn for mdn, i got pretty confused on this a couple days back since some phones ask for min first and others ask for mdn first i was banging my head against a wall for an hour over that one last week.

Yea both *228 and 611 give me the Cricket message. I get the phone not authorized for use message from the network. Im going to meet up with this guy later again and keep trying and Ill double check for the message code. What message codes are there and what do they mean? I know it cant be the MIN/MDN cuz they are both the same. The ESN Im giving Cricket is the MEID DEC. I always give my customers this nuraber to activate their phone and none have ever had a problem. Im positive I did everything right but obviously somethings up. What else could it be?

i've been having problems with these new LG's not wanting to OTASP ever... even when i use my secret min/mdn pair. can you just put the customer's actual min and mdn in?
