PRL Thread for New Nationwide Plans

I've still been using the 1039 prl on all phones. *22807 works fine most of the time, when it doesn't I just program the MDN, MIN, and SID using CDMA. Haven't had any problems here in Omaha yet.
 
Well I am currently sitting here without any service now. I don't live in a Cricket coverage area, but it is 20 minutes away. Earlier today I changed my plan to the new $40 plan online, then went into a Cricket coverage area to update my prl. It gave me 1117 and now that I came back home I have no service.
 
dont know if this is the right spot to do post this but this is my first time here i just flashed my bb 9530 to cricket but when i dail *228 it tells me that it can not activate it so can anyone please help me out and tell me what i did wrong
 
OK...I purchase 8330 refurbs from a company and re-sell them. They come with 5143 or 1042 PRL. I've asked them how those PRLs will jive with the new rates and they tell me that a customer on the new rate only neeRAB to turn the phone off, turn it on again and place a test call and the new PRL will update since BBs don't work with a *228.

Can someone with some experience confirm/deny?
 
1039 is crazy old. I would jump to the 1040 or 1042, at least, but I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I guess you don't travel with your phone?
 
I got signal, but OTAP failed and I am getting the "busy signals"

MIN is correct, tried with the 5945 SID.

I am gunna try some different configurations here. Signal was great, just no service what-so-ever, even tried the ol "remove your battery for 10 minutes" to no prevail.

Now trying the new 1013.prl with 5945 SID, or the other two Sprint SID's mentioned above. Stay Tuned.
 
I have updated to the new nationwide $40 plan. Before the net didn't work. I can access the web portal that I used to test the connection.

Cricket is displaying a webpage that is asking me to sign up for the $5 monthly mobile web access. (I thought that we apart of the plan?)

I have tried the 6199 prl which shows up as the other prl that the guy above previously stated. Nothing is getting my phone on the net. I have a 6900 flashed smartphone.

The *228 or *22807 are programming, and they actually lock the phone up for a minute because the SPC code is not set to all zeros. (My computer will not recognize the device drivers so I can not use QPST to change to all zeros.)

I am trying to update by changing the PRL manually, but to no avail. Would anybody like voice an opinion as to what is wrong with my device connection?
 
that's a load of crap..you will have to load a prl onto the phone manually. SounRAB to me like they are just trying to make the sale and not take care of their customer. If you have cdma workshop that's the easiest way to change prl, but if they are telling you that who knows what else they will do to get the sale.
 
They are pretty solid as the phones are completely refurbished and I rarely have returns. They just aren't technically savvy.

So CDMA workshop is all I need to load the PRL? No QPST, QDMA, etc since the phones are already unlocked and ready for Cricket?
 
i have a 1078, but obviously i am going to post it in the "Official PRL Thread" that is stickied and is also where all the freaking PRLs should go

now that that's settled...stop creating useless threaRAB when it has already been taken care of

i mean sheesh, the thing is a sticky and updated by a mod...does that not say enough for you?

Hey random, sorry for creating this thread if it appears to be redundant. I think people would come to look specifically at this one to get info on the new nationwide PRL info only. Since the sticky hadn't been updated for many many months, I thought it was appropriate to create this back when I did. Maybe they can be merged, or I would be glad to post all of the currently listed PRLs into the sticky and we can close this thread.

That being said, I have tested the 4399 PRL in some areas that used to be "pay" roaming now show as digital roaming on flashed phones but talk and text works. Also, the areas formerly known as PEC (Metro areas) still catch as "home" towers (no roaming signal) and give 1x data. The Metro area I was in allowed data to run smooth (used Google Maps & web browsing). Original Cricket areas get EvDO data.

I just *228ed the attached 4499 PRL on a Messager 2. I am guessing it is an update of the 4399 so I will start to use it and check the results.
 
You need to call customer service, and have them provision the account for web. Just explain to them about the $5 message, and they will tell you they are refreshing the account. A few minutes later you should be good to go as long as the customer service agent does their job. It's not uncommon to have to call a few times before someone actually does it.

yup..cdma workshop is your best bet, and pretty easy to use. You can also use it to atleast partially flash most other phones, so it is well worth the $99 for it.
