Private Gnutella Network limited to IP Range

I am a college student who is trying to form a private gnutella network limited to the /19 assigned to the residence halls. I know about Gnucleus LAN but that will limit me to 1/2 of the top floors of one of the buildings.

I tried Gnucleus and that isn't working very well.

Also, the university has SNORT running that is looking for "GNUTELLA CONNECT/", "GNUTELLA OK" and "User-Agent: Limewire" going out to the internet, so I can't have ANYTHING going outside of that IP range.

Any ideas?

use a firewall & go to tools -> options -> filters -> hosts and add "0.0.0.0/0" to the blacklisted IP addresses and your subnet to the whitelisted IP addresses.

For small networks, however, DC++ usually works a lot better than gnutella.
