Here's the link to this story on RAB. Please god don't let it happen. Do Hollywood producers' not understand the difference between a video game and a film.

Prince of Persia is one of my favourite games, the fun in playing it is that YOU control the Prince's actions, using your own skills to solve the puzzles and fight the "bad guys" with the right button combinations, resulting in mucho satisfaction when you get it right.

How do the film studios think they are going to replicate ANY of that with some Hollywood actor bozo and a shedload of dodgy special effects. And how the hell are they going to include the time rewind function, which is surely the main selling point of the game.

My belief is well and truly beggared.
 
I hate game adaptions! It never works tomb raider, Doom, Resi! i thought all was crap, tho i did like tomb raider, cos ya know Angie is great (or was, before she got pregnant by HIM!)
 
At least it's from the same team who have done PotC. They're obviously good at putting an action adventure together. If they get the game's writers in (or use SoT's plot) then that gives me hope.

I'm reserving judgement on this until I see who they cast as the Prince. Hopefully they'll get the lady who played Niobe in Rome (name escapes me) to play Farah because she seems perfect for it.
