primer my whole car with primer spray paint.?

Im on a very low budget.. and hate the look of my car and would rather have the primer look..whats the proper way of doing this.? i just started sanding it down smoothly but need to know when is the right time to spray..?i have like 9 cans is that enough..?....im not looking for perfection..
 
no not enough and be for you lay the primer you need to scuff you car they make special stuff but use a brilo pad type deal to scuff the whole car down then by like 5 more cans good luck.
