Price on a 2003 Dodge Durango SLT?

Thinking about buying a 2003 durango - was listed at 9290, now is on sale for 8990. What would be a good price to offer to start negotions?

ps. Kelly blue book lists it at 9290
it has 58,815 miles on it
 
DO NOT BUY THE DURANGO............I had a 2002, and it sucked gas at the rate of 11 MPG (4.7- 8 cylinder)..........there are many more vehicles to pick from that would get you closer to 20 MPG.....PS..........the $8990 is NOT A VERY GOOD PRICE..........they'll probably have to sell it at 5,000 just to get rid of it....
 
I would start off at 7750 and see if they take it but I would surely not go any higher than 9000. Thats is presuming it looks nice; has no major scratches, dents, insides look good, engine runs strong etc. Make sure you do a vehicle inspection. This should determine the price as well.
