I get my permit sometime soon, and I want to get a car. My parents don't want to pay for it so I'm stuck using my savings to pay for it. I have about 3000-4000 saved up in a bank, and I potentially may be able to get 1000 out of my parents if I'm lucky. I really want to get a jeep, and since the model doesn't really change from year to year, I'm fine with the oldest type that still looks somewhat modern (because it'll be cheaper). I have very low standards..I only want a/c, heat, a working radio, waterproof interior (usually a given for jeeps), and for it to run. I definitely don't need anything extravagant, I want the absolute minimum. I just need to get around somewhat comfortably, and mostly it would be fun to drive with the top off in the rain =)
Do you know (approximately) what the price for one would be? Possibly one from the mid 1990s, would that be cheaper? Any good sites? Thanks.
