Okay, Ive never experienced acid reflux until 3 days ago, if that is what this is, so Im a bit confused.
Saturday, I dry-swallowed 2 aleve tablets, and of course, I had the "stuck feeling" in my lower esophagus after a few minutes. I always assumed it was irritation from the pill dissolving in the throat instead of anything actually getting "stuck." This went on for about 20 minutes until I got somewhere I could get a drink and some food. After some water and chips, the feeling went away.
Sunday, the pain was back. Its a sharp pain in the middle of my chest that is mildly persistent until I swallow saliva, in which case the pain bumps up a few notches. Whenever I eat anything, it hurts so much that I start to feel light headed and lethargic. The pain varies depending on the dryness/roughness/consistency of the food. Even liquiRAB hurt quite a bit, but anything carbonated hurts much more than just water. Orange juice doesnt hurt so bad.
Ive taken some medication that has not helped in the least. Ive taken a nexium, as well as some equate max strength acid reducer (150mg ranitidine.) The pain did not go away at all.
I cannot visit a doctor due to money issues (hello, world.) I just want to know if this is acid reflux and if it will go away soon, or if its a bigger problem. I know nothing beats actual diagnosis, but that isnt an option right now.
