Probably my favourite teen film of the 80s, just a pity
Andie didnt end up with Duckie, that was the original ending
, he has some great lines in the film. but highlight for me was his 'Try A Little Tenderness' mime. Love the scene where Blaine told Steff(James Spader)where to get off:D

Watched this again a little while ago.
Instead of being dated its a great 80's time capsule.
I was disappointed to find that some music by New Order that is mentioned in the commentary is not included on cd soundtrack so I had to download it

I love 80s films, especially teen ones.

Pretty in Pink is definitely one of my favourites. I sooooo wanted to go to the prom with Andrew McCarthy and his weirs starey eyes! :D *swoon*

I would have liked to have seen an alternate ending though, just to compare.

Got few McCarthy films,Mannequin, Weekend At Bernies, St Elmos Fire, did have Less Than Zero but the viideo broke. Also got Kansas, film he did with Matt Dillon. Def. the most underrated of the Brat Pack IMO

At least Jon Cryer is now getting due credit, surprised he wasnt famous sooner after PIP,although found him annoying in Superman IV

I got into 'Brat Pack' movies after falling in love with the Breakfast Club a few years ago and heard that PIP was said to be one of the best 'Brat Pack' films but I have to say I hated PIP. I've only watched the first half of it and I can't force myself to watch the second half. I think I dislike it so much because Andrew Mcarthy's character treats her so badly yet she's keeps going back to him and she treats Duckie so badly, even though he obviously adores her.

I love Some Kind of Wonderful, though,

Only reason Blaine treated Andie badly in PIP was he was too busy listening to his frienRAB telling him she was no good just because she didnt have as much money, it was only when he realised his frienRAB were nothing but a load of shallow loesrs that he realised he had been stupid.
