Pretty in Pink: "May I admire you?"

I really like Andrew and his character Kevin on St. Elmo's fire, but I didn't like him and Blane in this. But that's only 'cause Jon/Duckie pwned me more than anyone else, and I so wanted him to get the girl in the end. :pout:
 
Personally, I love Blaine because I love Andrew McCarthy. He pwned me ever since I saw him in St. Elmo's Fire. I think he's better playing the nihilist witty wise-cracking hopelessly in love writer than the spoiled rich kid (he was the Adam Brody of his generation). Saying that though, I didn't like the ending. I wanted it to be left bittersweet with him whispering into Andie's ear how he'd love her forever. That would have made his character very tragic. At the same time, leaving the ending open and ambiguous. Instead, we got the cookie-cutter ending. :(
 
yeah i think andie should of finally realised that after she was hurt from blaine that she should be with duckie i mean he did everything for her he deserves her.
 
He was, but I prefer Blane. Because Blane was played by my boyfriend, Andrew McCarthy. ;)
 
i loved the duckie dance seen and then when hes shattered by andie becaus shes going out with blaine. Though as much as i liked duckie my favourite was steph his sleazy ways made the rest of the film (stuff not about duckie and andy) way more intresting.
