Prescriptions being filled or not

I have recently lost a written prescription. Is it possible that the doctor can put a trace on prescription to see if someone found it and filled it? Is it possible that the doctor would write out another one even if it is a narcotic.

that really does depend ALOT of your particular doc and your level of relationship you just have as to whther or not it would be repleced or not? and of course whatever "type' of pain needs treating? but if you did indeed lose this, there ARE ways to track every single rx now days.

every single stae as of the 1rst of this year was supposed to ahve had a mandated by federal law, type of tracking system that actually tracks every sinly narcotic and even simply controlled substances we take. this is how we are being tracked now

since msot pharms DO have camaeras that would or could actually show someone else filling your rx some where, i would report this to your doc,and let him or her take it from there? people DO tend to lose things, so it would not be beyond the relm of possibility that this could also happen too. but one HUGE thing you do need to remember after this is that ANY rx you are written by any doc is automatically YOUR total and complete responsibility to keep safe. from theft or losing it(otherwise just using basic common sense knowing it IS an actual narcotic rx)? narcotic replacement scripts are not usually just handed out as they would be for some other type of med.

i am in a pain management clinic and trust me, i have to sign a contract with my PM that states any lost or stolen rxes will NOT ever be replaced, at all under any circumstances. and since i so desperately NEED to have my level of pain managed like 24/7? i do NOT take ANY chances with it at all, ever. and it also states in my contract that once that Rx is handed over TO me? it IS my and only my responsibility to use it as directed and to keep safe from theft or loss too. just an FYI for ya since you just do NOT ever want this to occur again, or i guarentee you THAT will send up some big red flags with any doc.

and any doc you may ever see? make darn certain you tell them about ANY other narcotic rxes you may actively have, since all any doc has to do now is put your name into that 'new' database, and every single rx that YOU have had written, that is controlled or at least narcotic will pop up on their lil screen? lying to any doc about narcotics is just NOT a good idea in the first place, but now, it can really create some rather serious repercussions for the patient anytime you just are not totally and completely honest now?

but i would speak to your doc about this so he is aware this happend and the pharms can be watching out for this lost one, it would and could be flagged if someone should try and fill it if not already done so(every RX has a number on it)? and you simply NEED to have your pain controlled here too? just make certain from here on out that you use your head with any rx you are written, esp the narcotics that you do not ever compromise by not placing the Rx or the meds in a very safe place so they wont stand a chance of being stolen either? hopefully you have a really great relationship with the rxing doc for this and he will help you out one time. just protect anymore with your life cuz i doubt any doc would ever do this replacement for a patient twice?? like i mentioned already here, any Rx is simply YOUR total and complete responsibility once it is in your own hands from any doc. i DO wish you luck with this, and please keep me posted on how this turns out for you. It depends on what your script was for. I am in PM and I had to, like FB, sign a contract that said that if I lost the script, it was my fault and there would be no replacement until the next month. Too bad, so sad. It's the major way they control Class II drugs.

If you haven't signed a contract, you may stand a chance that he will write you another, but I wouldn't hold your breath. I am in very good standing with my doc, but I wouldn't say anything if I lost one.

good luck, we'll keep our fingers crossed...
