Preparing for Accutane. Advice?

I am a 31yr old male terrible back acne used to be cystic but cleared up with antibiotics but still not flawless I get facial breakouts once in a while and once in a while I get a cyst on my neck, face, buttox. My derm highly recommeded Accutane as the final step to clear all of my troubles. Any advice? I also heard there is a similar drug that has less side effects. Any help? Thanks

If you do a search on the acne board for "accutane," you will find tons of information. There are many pros and cons of using this and all's you can do is read up and decide for yourself if you are willing to take the risk.
