prepaid sidekick data plan

im on a prepaid sidekick plan my sidekick 3 charger port went out i now have a bb pearl im having trouble using yahoo im, internet,etc but i can text and make calls. my ? is the bb data different from the sidecks
 
flip that around. the $9.99 plan (which requires voice) gives you the email without the data. I have found though that quite a few of the data features still work, such as email attachment and bbm. I still haven't gotten a chance to put any 3rd party apps on to see if they will run (family member has the plan). I have a feeling they will. It seems all Tmo does is keep the internet service book(s) from being sent down so a person doesn't have access, but if a feature uses bis, it still is functional.

I found craigslist has some pretty good deals on used phones. just be sure to power it up/down and bring your sim card to make a test call.
 
I have a different question if a T-Mo rep is available to answer this. I have wanted to move my SK to a prepaid acct and put the BIS back on my Pearl. That in and of itself will do nothing... Your options for your sidekick are simple. To use it via prepaid as a sidekick you need a sidekick activation code and sim which you can only get at a t Mobile store. This will charge you one dollar a day JUST to have the connection, if you use it or not. This will give you free SMS, MMS, internet and email. Calls will vary from .10 to .40 depending on the cards you purchase.

Other option is a new account called flex pay. This option does NOT require a credit check but will give you access to ANY rateplan and option we offer. It is prepaid in the consideration that you pay before your cycle instead of after, but the service is the same. This will allow you any plan for voice calls and you can add the 20 sk addon giving you all the features of the sidekick, SMS, MMS internet etc. This gives you sk access for only 20 monthly instead of 29 but requires you to add voice, UNLESS you get the sk plan that is 29 a month for unlim sk access and per min price on minutes...

As for the pearl you have the same options you do with the Sidekick. you can get Flex pay which is the prepaid option explained above, or just add it as a normal activation. I know its quite confusing. Feel free to contact me directly with questions if you have any.
