Prepaid 8550's

A customer bought in a prepaid Verizon Chocolate 2 to be fully flashed. I have done several 8550's but they weren't prepaid.

I did everything according to the tutorial and it won't let me into the NV Edit in the LG Download. It comes up with an error. Is this because it is a prepaid phone and another setting neeRAB to be adjusted to fully flash it or is the customer SOL?

Spc is not Zeros maybe?
i used to buy them from wallmart for $98.99 n sell them for $200 never had any issues lol

I changed the SPC to all 0's. Still won't let me.

Try using the LGNPST lab and the 8550 DLL probably one of those new firmwares i been hearin about

I can confirm that it's the new firmware.. you can use LGNPST Lab or there is some DLLs that work in LG Download... forgot which

did u go thru manual prog.? from the settings menu and enter min mdn and sis id?

I can activate the phone. Just can't get into the settings to fully flash.

what files are you using, try the 9900 dll and bin then nv edit like a voyager, should do the trick. on the choc. 2 thats the way its always gone for me.

So do a bin download with the 9900 for the 8550? Won't I need to do the SCR and ERI files too? Or will just the bin work?

BTW I have the 8550 bin. I tried that on another prepaid chocolate 2 and it bricked the phone. lol I don't want to go through that again.

I am using just the 8550 DLL and using LG download to edit the settings.

Well seems like you dont have the lab dll, so other way would be through CDMA workshop from what ive heard but never done it my self.

As mentioned before, its ALOT easier if you have LGNPST Lab and the 8550 dll for it. If not then I cant remeraber but I think the 9100 dll works for it with LG Download. Its been a minute since Ive had to flash a prepaid one with LGD. Lab makes everything soooo easy.

It is the 9100 the last time I tried it, it's like a magical DLL hehe, works on many others like the 9700

just check for yourself if the parameters line up and at least the most important are not blank

correct sir, read the spc, send it, the read nam evdo, copy paste the dir nuraber into the evdo spot followed by @mycricket.com, do that for all username areas, then password cricket in the four areas and it should be good.
