Pregnant women who have a partner in the army?

Okay so me and my fiance have been having money issues lately, he got fired, i got layed off etc.
anyways.

so he has been looking into going into the army, because it pays alot of money, helps with college etc,

and i told him since we arnt married i will not get any of the money and neither will his kids since we are not married,
and he told me that they give him checks once a month and he will give them to me?
i don't really know how it works, but i thought i would ask someone..

my friend recently almost went through the same thing and she said they only pay for housing and bills, so im SO confused.
We are GETTING married, just not right now.

I don't know either but I wouldn't let my husband be in the Army no matter what. (i had my reason) i can't stand him being away from me and my daughter. My daughter and I always stayed up late waiting for him to come home.. i don't think i can't live without my husband. lol...

good luck and hope it's all goes well for you.

Not being married, he can still get medical benefits and money for his children...just won't get any for u...so can't take care of your medical bills while pregnant or when u give birth.

They pay u twice a month...on the 1st and 15th unless he requests to be paid only once a month (no one really does that).

If u were married u would get money for housing if u lived off base, but on base u get no housing money.

They do help pay for college but all that doesn't happen right away. Look into filing child support if he falls through on his word...or even if he doesn't...military will make sure he pays..your children shouldn't have to do without.
