Pregnancy tests results?

I am curious, since it is not indicated on the box too well, how long after not using BC or trying does it take for the pregnancy test to be positive?

Is it negative until you miss a period and then becomes positive? Is it the morning after the act? A week later?

If you have sex at that time of the month where you are ovulating and get pregnant, when should the pregnancy test start sowing the "positive"? Are you going to get a bunch of false "negative" for a little while?
 
test could be positive a week before period is due, but it's most accurate after that date has passed, days or even a week after you expected your period. but you could be calculating wrong, etc, so wait and also go to a dr. for blood test to confirm
 
it depends cos everyone is different.
some people concieve the day they stop taking the pill & for others it can take months or even years to conceive.
the only way you'll find out is by taking a test around the time your period would be due.
my husband & i started trying for a baby in september & within 2 weeks of coming off the pill i was pregnant & i'm nearly 10 weeks now.
if you're really confused then go to your doctors & they will do a test for you
