Apparently the middle school health class wasn't too informative so I've come to ask you guys here at WTF. I'll be off to college next year and feel this good be useful informative whether I have sex in college or not.

How exacty does one get HIV/Aids? What exactly is it all about? How does one prevent getting HIV/Aids?

How does one prevent getting a woman pregnant besides the useage of abstence?

That's the best way. Trojan or some non-latex polyurethane condom of you are allergic to latex. Some women are on birth control but you should still use a condom to prevent getting an STD. Aids may be a killer but it's not the only disease that's incurable that you can get through sex. Also I'd suggest trying to find a special person that you want to remain with and not cheat on. The more you or your other half sleeps around, the greater the chance of either of you getting sick.

I'd also suggest you make sure the person you are with is also using some sort of protection. Dont' double bag your willie, that doesn't work. Rubber on Rubber somehow makes it less protective and you won't be as protected against pregnancy or STD. It'll break. Use a gell or get her to use a birth control such as a diapgram, pill, ring, patch, or at least a sponge or a spermicidal gel. There's also a female condom but they look freakish and I have heard they are a major turn off for men. Also there's a new pill for men to not be able to produce sperm but again the only form of protection again both AIDS/HIV, STD, adn pregnancy is a condom and a considerable amount of responcibility towards your actions and sleeping partners.
 
first off... if aids is in your face like that and you are worried about it... you should get tested. Aids and HIV arent likely to show up till after 6 months of contracting it. Preventing aids can be as easy as wearing a condom. But more importantly knowing the person you are with. If you are going to be highly sexually active without knowing your partners you may as well play russian rulette.

bottom line... know your partner and wear condoms. Limit your sexual activity. A woman that has aids and is pregnant will still give you aids and the child will be born with aids as well.
 
Actually for some reason the child does not get aids from it's HIV/AIDS infected mother. There is a way to give birth to a child without passing AIDS to it. AIDS is only given to the baby during the birthing process and that is somehow able to be bypassed. It's the way they preform the actualy birth.
 
really? i thought that it was passed in the bloodstream. The child gets it from the obviously infected father and mother. Im not sure if there is a difference in HIV and AIDS. I could believe that HIV wouldnt be passed. But thats interresting. Ill have to look into that. Thanks for the tip.
 
Are you serious? They didn't shove this down your throat in High School? You weren't required to take a Health class?

My, my, you guys are pretty smart, compared to the idiots I am used to hanging around, well, you may be smart but you don't seem to know much!

You can get a AIDS/HIV by touching bodily fluids, just as someone said, I do not know about kissing, but blood, semen, that stuff transfers it.

There are some diseases yuo get just from touching an infected area, and there is one disease, so disgusting, you will never want to get it. That disease is Ghonnorhea (not sure about spelling). You really should google this, there is a lot of useful information about it online, and tha chances are, that nowadays, if you need something, google will bring up something relevant. I used to visit: www.puberty101.com, you should also try wikpedia, www.wikipedia.com. The best way to prevent pregnancy, and/or STD's is abstinence. Like that guy said, if you don't know who's doing who, it's like playing russian roulette.

You might also want to remember, that by contracting an STD, you are connected to every other person who contracted it, every rapist, every sicko, every insane person, including the sicko who fucked a monkey, and gave humans the disease (according the scientists, they believe it came from monkeys).
