OHHH that Mask!!! I was thinking about the Cher film of the same name, was wondering how they would do that sequal.

While Affleck is not De Niro or Pacino I kinda like the guy, mainly due to his involvement in Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. I think the guy can act but has made some disappointing choices (Paycheck & Gigli) recently.
However the only other Affleck film scheduled to be released this year is the much-delayed Jersey Girl and I assure you this will not be a Turkey. His personal and professional relationship with Kevin Smith has produced some of the funniest and thought provoking movies in the past decade (and i'm including the fantastic audio commentaries on the DVD's).
There are many factors that will determine whether the film will be a commercial success such as the whole "Bennifer" aftermath and those critics doubting Smith 's ability to make a commercial "PG-13" movie. Box Office aside Smith's script (of which I have read) is everything you want in the RomCom genre: sweet, funny & characters you believe in and care for.

For someone as far up the greasy pole as BA, I am surprised he has done so little that makes sense on the big screen. Lesser actors would have turned in far better performances.
If it were not for the special effects, I would have asked for my money back on Armageddon and Pearl Harbour (OK I watched that one on TV this Christmas)
As for Reindeer Games, Charlize was the only redeeming feature, In Daredevil however, there was no saving grace at all.

i do find it annoying when they change who a character is!! like in Batman and Robin when Batgirl appears, Batgirl is Barbara Gordon not Barbara Wison!!!!!

I so hope your right, cause I love Kevin Smith movies. Dogma is genius! Ben seems like a nice enough bloke, and I think he is underrated... NeeRAB someone to pick his scripts for him though. Love to see another movie pairing with Matt Damon. They work so well together.

Are you saying that Dogma was superb, but for the performance of Affleck?
I tried to convey in my original post that; is he Pacino? Well No. Can he act? Well Yes I believe he can. You provided yourself with the example for your first statement unless you really believe the only flaw in Dogma was Ben Affleck. Apart from that he has provided what can be classed as acceptable performances in a variety of films.
Chasing Amy - He's very good as Holden McNeill although Jason Lee's Banky steals the show.
Changing Lanes - An underrated movie with Affleck convincing as the lawyer who clashes with the man Sam L Jackson.
Good Will Hunting - Yes this is Matt Damon's movie but Affleck is good as Chuckie.
Boiler Room - a great 10-minute cameo as the Senior Trader.
Shakespeare In Love - A highly campish but funny cameo.
Phantoms - Great B Movie fodder and great role as the Sheriff.
Yes Daredevil is not the film it should have been, Yes Gigli is Poor, Yes Paycheck is bad but Woo & Thurman should also have known better. I admit Affleck has had allot of money put behind him and has not done justice to the position he finRAB himself in.

Getting back to the topic
From looking at the trailer and everything about it, King Arther looks set to be another smash---on the wall. It looks totally chunky and bulky, its probably going to be nominated at next years Oscars regardless of how good it is since the academy love any kind of period movie, even the down right poor ones (last samuria anyone?). I know alot of people loved Pitch Black (i just watched it, not bad, but not good either:yawn: ). However the sequal/prequal whatever looks more and more empty the more that i look into the details and trailer. Just dire!!!

I dunno, I think Hellboy could be pretty cool... The Punisher looks terrible though! And as for dirty dancing havana nights... Oh dear god. What did we do to deserve that!?
