im 17, just got a job so i leave school everday at noon to work. i get home @ 5:30. so at night,i gotta finish AP homework(which is endless) then if i have free time i try to eat dinner. o yeah, i also play chess, practice taekwondo, have tutoring, and like to workout. But for all those out in the working white-collar world...doesn't it SUCK to have your day predetermined? I KNOW that i will wake up tomorrow, goto school, struggle to stay awake in my classes. Leave @ 12 and start work. Finish at 5, come home. Do homework. Sleep. Wake up and goto school. IT FUCKING SUCKS. Makes me want to skip school, call in sick at work, and go on a flippin adventure where i dont know what will happen next. life sucks when its chosen for you.
 
I agree. It never ends. Wake up, go to college class for like 3+ hrs, go home, do a shit load of homework, take a nap (cuz i'm so damn tired) eat, and do more homework. I used to work 40 hrs. a week too, until they cut me down to 5 hrs. a week cuz they hired new ppl and they cut the hours to weekend only. My life revolves around school. Ug. I started to doze off in my psych class last week. So way not cool.

Actually.. In highschool I had AP classes.. and I was not feeling it because I work with a more creative approach, and while I like books, I tend to relate things to other things, aside from books. I actually really hated it because my ideas were not valued as much as they should have been because I thought out of the box and not inside of the book. Load of shit to me. So if you go down to regular classes, they teach you like you are stupid.. So there is no place for us. So I graduated early from independent studies, which seems like a good idea for you, because then you would have more time to work, if you really need to. They typically don't offer AP classes, but unless you want to go to college for literature or something like that.. it's not worth it. I don't know which AP classes you have, because all I took was AP English and science.
I went into art, and I have to tell you (right now I am on a break) but when I am at school I work all day, eat at certain times, go to sleep at 2 and wake up at 7 to start it all over again. It doesn't get any better.
 
wake up at 5:30. go to work. work till 5 or 6. come home. take shower. sit on my fat ass in front of the computer screen because i'm too tired from work to do anything else. go to bed.

Some beleive the universe is chance... some say that everything is predetermined. Some think that we have the freedom of a dog tied to a lamp post, others think we have almost complete freedom (just as long as we don't stray too far from our chosen course).

I think it's all bullshit. I'm dying eventually.
 
the universe was an accident. mankind was an accident. there's no such thing as freedom. it is a myth. we are playthings of a higher power... created for their amusement. they hold the strings... they control us. there is no freedom.

The horrible part is... you're agreeing with 90% of the Bible there.

Hence the conflict...

This is why I want a Philosophy forum.

freedom..didnt you take government? dude...declaration of independence...the consitition...bill of rights???....ugh....
this has been my life for the past 4 semesters......
wake up at 6am...go to work till 4.30....go to school ..5.30 get out at 10pm or 8pm...depending on my classes[engineering/math].....homework...eat something quick...go to sleep and start over....its fuckin routine...youre gonna have to get used to it my friend...its a never ending stress cycle that drains you at the end of the semester...even worse if you take summer classes....:/ i took ap courses all thorugh HS....and worked till 7pm...while all my non-ap friends had 2 classes...engl 4 and govt/econ ...i had a full load ..8 classes....calculus ap...econ..eng4....physics 2...lang. ..comp. maint(2 classes)..and some other bullshit class.....life sucks.....
