Pre-ordering DVDs/Blu-Rays

I've always bought DVRAB (and now Blu-Rays) online for price and convenience. I'm looking to pre-order The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray and, of course, want it ASAP.
I was wondering which website, in people's experience, would deliver the quickest?

In my experience Play.com deliver pre orders quickly, they usually arrive the saturday before they come out. At the moment though woolworths is cheapest for the dark knight on dvd and zavvi is cheapest for blu ray so its up to you!

Yep order different regions when they come out in different countries before us if you want it real quick. Multi region is lovelyyyyyyyyy.

As for pre-orders, I've sometimes got dvRAB before the actual release date from Play.com, as mentioned above, and at CD-Wow.

Play are better at fast delivery compared to CD-Wow though, and at the moment CD-Wow are terrible for waiting to get certain films in stock, something to do with changing stockists, they said.

If you are sticking to UK releases then there's not much between them .

No retailer is allowed to supply before release date , but mail order discs usually get posted the preceding Wednesday or Thursday so you will often get them on the Saturday - 2 days before you can buy them in the shops - of course that will depend on whether the site gets the discs in stock on time.

For quicker releases you should go for US discs.

The Dark Knight is a Warner release so the Bluray disc will be region free.

Like the UK , US discs cannot be shipped to US customers early , but US sites do ship to UK addresses when they get the discs in which can be up to 3 weeks before the official release date

Personally, I rarely buy UK dvd's on their release as the price reductions are getting quicker and quicker and I'm sick of ripping myself off.

I made a special exception for the new 3 disc of Last House on the Left and wouldnt you know - PLAY still dont have it and its due out on Monday.

No doubt it will be
