Hi, I think I am in the pre-menopause stage (44), last period January 3rd, the odd hot flush since. I have been to my doctor and had various blood tests done, although no pregnancy test (blood) was done at the doctors, I have had blood tests for hormone imbalance, etc (I have done myself 6 HPT in Feb, March, April and also had a urine sample tested at drs, all neg). My questions are as follows:-
1. When you were in the pre-menopause after your last regular period (mine was 3 Jan 2010) did you get another period.
2. did you get a lot of hot flushes/night sweats and if so what is the best way to deal with them, I don't wat HRT (i prefer natural ways if possible). Since Jan, I had one, and as i write this think I am having a second one, although it could be just the extreme heat we have at the moment.
I do eat soya (I am a semi vegetarian and have been since i was 15), I also take folic acid tablets as these were recommended to me.
3. when your period would have normally have been due do/did you experience the usual symptons like menstrual cramp, craving chocolate, and the general feelings you get when your period is due (I don't get this feeling every month)
I do have a weight problem, but since March have changed the way I combine food (I always ate healthy but have a lot of food intolerance's) and have lost 1 stone, although the past couple of days felt rough (not ill to see a doctor) but the kind of rough when your period is due
I noticed the past couple of days my breasts have been tender and my nipples quite erect.
Any proper advice would be appreciated, not silly comments thanks
