Expecting baby #1!!!

I recently had severe pre-eclampsia and delivered my baby over a week ago (Apr. 24). The swelling in my back, hands, and face is completly gone, but my ankles and feet are still swollen. Is this normal, and when will it ever go away? The nurses kept telling me eventually I'll just pee like crazy and it'll go away but it seems to be sticking around. I have a doc. appt. on May 10, so any advice or your experiences would be helpful!
