Pre deployment training for the army?

Ok i don't want to sound too stupid here, but i have not one clue as to how this goes. My husband graduates AIT training in 3 weeks, we are going to Ft. Carson then. I just spoke to him and he said that he "heard" from his friend's brother who is stationed in Carson that everyone in the armor division will leave for pre deployment training in May. So how does this work? Can we talk? Can i go with him? Ahh this Army deal is so stressful sometimes!
Louisiana!? But he heard New York?
