i just can't seem to figure out how to solve this, and it's probably really easy x)

log4(x-5) = -1

the 4 in the equation is log base 4. not like 4*(x-5)

use the change over base rule.

log4(x-5) = -1
step 1. 4^(-1) = x - 5
step 2. 1/4 = x - 5
step 3. (1/4) + 5 = x
step 4. (1/4) + (20/4) = x
step 5. 21/4 = x

and that's all!
