I'm a bit confused. Could someone check my work to make sure I'm doing this right?

For what values of x is the area of the rectangle shown greater than 100 square units?

(they show a 4 by 2x + 7 rectangle)

I got 100 < 4 (2x +7)

Simiplified:

x > 9, or over 9 units.

Is that correct?

Then, for what values of x is the perimeter of the rectangle shown greater than 50 unite?

50 < 2 [4 + (2x + 7)]

Simplified: 7 < x, or over 7 units.
